Homemade Soap Recipes - Jasmine, Frankincense and Geranium Soap.

Jasmine never fails to uplift the spirit, its flowers emit the most intoxicating perfume redolent of warm evenings spent in countries of the Far East. Jasmine flowers are always gathered at night as this is when their fragrance is the most sweet and powerful.

Geranium also lifts any mood, its rosy floral scent soothes and comforts, easing away the worries of the day. It is well-known as a cure all oil for women with its ability to relieve female problems as is Frankincense, which comes from Africa and the Middle East. Frankincense has been highly valued for centuries and used in all manner of religious rituals and worship, in many different cultures, so that its smell is instantly recognizable as the resin burnt upon many altars.

All of these essential oils combined create a rich, soothing and highly effective moisturizer for dry skin, stretch marks, mature skin, wrinkles, scar tissue and sunburn.

Also because of the anti-inflammatory properties of the soap, it is suitable for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, it is a kind and gentle soap and smells heavenly !

This homemade soap recipe is so easy to make and because olive oil has such a high content of Vitamin E and the glycerin is retained in the soap making process, this soap is already fantastic for dry skin as these factors alone will nourish the skin, combined with these powerful essential oils, a perfect synergy and effective solution for dry skin is ably achieved.

The synergy of Jasmine, Frankincense and Geranium essential oils also come together to aid hormonal imbalance, to give balance and relief for menopausal problems, pre-menstrual syndrome and irregular periods. These oils aid deep relaxation and are wonderful stress busters, they are gently calming and are used to alleviate insomnia, anxiety and depression, a perfect soap to use in a warm, relaxing bath before bed !
